Good features, some room for improvement

I tried out the AI Video Generator and the Text to Video feature last week. The quality of the generated videos was surprisingly good, especially for a new platform. Character consistency tools actually worked pretty well, which is often a pain point with these AI tools. However, I found the prompt engineering interface a bit clunky at times; it could be more intuitive. Delivery of the processed videos was quick though, and the annual plan discount I got made it decent value overall. Just wish the UI felt a bit smoother.

Pretty decent experience overall

So I decided to check out Higgsfield to make some quick social media videos. Used their Text to Speech and AI Video Upscaler. It was pretty straightforward, didn't have to jump through a bunch of hoops to get my stuff done. The quality was good enough for what I needed, looked professional without me having to spend hours on it. Everything just kinda worked, which is always nice. No complaints really, just a smooth process.

Great value on the annual plan

I was looking for an AI video tool and Higgsfield popped up. I snagged the annual plan for the AI Video Generator and it was a solid deal. Getting that 20% off for committing annually made a big difference to my budget. The free starting credits were a nice bonus too, let me really test things out before I even dipped into my paid allowance. For the price, I felt like I got a lot of creative power. Definitely worth it for someone trying to save money but still get good quality.

My annual subscription is coming up for renewal next month and the price seems a bit higher than last year. Has anyone else noticed a price bump for the annual plan?

P Pooja 2 weeks ago
I'm still on the monthly plan, but was thinking of switching to annual for the discount. Maybe I should check the current annual rate first.

D Deepak87 2 weeks ago
Definitely check. The initial discount was sweet.

Following this. Mine is due in two months. I'll be bummed if it's much higher.

Mine renewed last week and it was the same for me. I think their early bird pricing or introductory discount expired. Didn't realize until I saw the bill.

I've heard they sometimes offer renewal offers if you contact support. Worth a shot?

Having trouble with character consistency in my latest video series. One character's outfit keeps changing slightly between scenes. Anyone else facing this or have tips?

C coolboy88 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
Yeah, I've noticed that sometimes, especially with more complex outfits or accessories. I find that being super specific in the prompt for each scene helps, like 'red jacket, blue scarf, black jeans' repeated verbatim. Also, using the character consistency tools helps, but it's not always 100% perfect.

T techfreak 1 month ago
Thanks, I'll try being even more specific. I thought I was already detailed enough.
7
C coolboy88 1 month ago
It can for overall look, but for fine details like clothing items, direct prompt repetition seems more reliable in my experience.

P PoojaR 1 month ago
Does using the style reference tool help with that too?

A Ankit22 1 month ago
Not sure honestly, mine usually stay pretty consistent. Are you using the same base image for the character across all generations?
7
A Ankit22 1 month ago
Could be. Context changes can sometimes influence minor details.
7
T techfreak 1 month ago
Mostly, yes. But the scene context changes, which might be throwing it off.

I had a similar issue with hair length changing. I ended up generating a few extra frames and picking the ones that looked most consistent, then edited them together. A bit of extra work but it got the job done.
1
T techfreak 1 month ago
That's a good workaround, might have to try that if prompt engineering doesn't fix it.

Finally switched over to Higgsfield Pro plan from Runway. The character consistency tools are a game changer, no more fiddling around for hours trying to match faces. Also, the AI video upscaler is pretty solid for old footage.

P Priya 1 month ago
Oh really? I've been on the fence about switching. How's the learning curve compared to Runway? That's my main hesitation.

A Anjali92 1 month ago
Glad to hear it's working for you, Rajat! The character consistency is a big deal.
5
R RajatS 1 month ago
It's different, but not bad. Took me a couple of hours to get the hang of the workflow, especially the prompt engineering interface.

N Neha 1 month ago
I'm still debating between Higgsfield and some other options. What kind of projects are you mostly using it for? Just curious about real-world applications.
10
R RajatS 1 month ago
Mainly marketing shorts and explainer videos for my small business. The social media video templates help a lot.
5
V Vikram 1 month ago
That's good to know. I'm using their free trial right now, mainly for the text to video, but the character consistency has been an issue with other platforms. Might have to check out the Pro features.
9
R RajatS 1 month ago
Yeah, the free trial is good for testing the basics, but the real power is in the paid tiers for sure.

K Karan 1 month ago
How much better is the upscaler? Asking for a friend with a ton of old camcorder footage.

Thinking of signing up, but wondering about discounts. Are there any current promo codes floating around, or is it mostly just the free credits when you join?

P Paula F. 2 months ago
New users usually get some free credits automatically, that's what happened for me. For codes, I think they mostly apply at checkout for subscriptions or credit top-ups.
0
O Omar Z. 2 months ago
Yeah, I got some free credits when I first signed up. Keep an eye out for annual plan discounts too, those are usually around 20% off from what I remember.

Just got the email about the annual plan discount, seems like a good deal. Anyone switched to it recently?

R Rohan88 1 month ago ✓ Best Answer
Yeah, I actually just upgraded last week. The per-credit cost drops significantly, especially if you're using it a lot for social media content. I was on the monthly Pro before and this makes more sense for my workflow.
10
R Rohan88 1 month ago
Nope, pretty straightforward. Just make sure you're actually going to use the credits, otherwise monthly might still be better.
2
V VikramG 1 month ago
Did you notice any hidden charges or anything when you switched?
3
A AnjaliK 1 month ago
Good to know! I'm doing a lot of short promo videos, so thinking it might be worth it too.

D Deepak91 1 month ago
I'm still debating. My usage is a bit spiky, sometimes I generate a ton, sometimes nothing for weeks. Wonder if the yearly commitment is right for that.
0
R RahulK 1 month ago
They sometimes have volume discounts if you buy credit packs, might be better for spiky use.

Can I use the videos I make with Higgsfield for my YouTube channel or client work? Like, are there any commercial restrictions?

C Chris 2 months ago
Pretty sure you can. Most of these AI tools allow commercial use, that's kind of the point for a lot of people using them for content creation.
4
G Greg 2 months ago
Yep, my understanding is content generated with Higgsfield can totally be used for commercial stuff. Always good to double check the fine print, but that's standard for these platforms.

Is there a mobile app for Higgsfield? Or is it just a web thing? I like to do some editing on the go.

N Nick 1 month ago
Yeah, they do have a mobile app. It's not just web-based, which is super convenient.
6
L Lisa Torres 1 month ago
There's definitely a mobile video app. I haven't used it much myself, but I know it's an option if you prefer working on your phone.

Hey, I'm trying to decide between Higgsfield and some other AI video tools like Runway or Luma AI. How does Higgsfield stack up for general video generation?

N Nick 1 month ago
From what I've seen, Higgsfield is pretty good for character consistency, which can be a pain with others. The workflow agent thing also sounds useful for bigger projects.
0
C Chris 1 month ago
It's hard to say 'better' definitively cause they all have strengths. Higgsfield has some cool features like the AI Agent for workflows that others might not, but it really depends on what you need it for.
